1. Overview

These Terms and Conditions outline how services are delivered by Dog Days Training and Adventure (“the Trainer”). By booking any service, you ("the Client) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.

2. Services Provided

The Trainer agrees to provide professional dog training and behavioural support services as agreed upon at the time of booking. Services may include private dog sitting, private lessons, public group classes, or public outdoor excursions for training obedience or behaviour modification. The Client understands that each dog learns at its own pace and that continued success relies on consistent follow-up by the Client outside of training sessions. Therefore, no results can be guaranteed.

3. Payment Terms

Payment for services is due 1 calendar day before the commencement of the Client’s chosen service and must be paid in full. Accepted payment methods will be provided on the invoice. Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of future sessions until full payment is received. Invoices are sent via email and paid by bank transfer. Packages are non-refundable and non-transferable.

4. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Late Arrivals

Private Training Services

Clients may reschedule a private training session up to 24 hours before the scheduled appointment without penalty.

Cancellations or reschedule requests made within 24 hours of the appointment may result in forfeiture of the session without refund. Late arrivals will reduce the available training time.

Small-Group Classes

Places in all group courses are strictly limited. Full payment is required to secure your enrolment. Enrolments are not confirmed until payment has been received.

If you need to cancel your enrolment, the following refund schedule applies:

8 or more days before the course commencement date: 100% refund.
7 days before the course commencement date: 50% refund.
6-2 days before the course commencement date: 25% refund.
1 day before, on, or after the course commencement date: No refund.

As class places are limited and reserved specifically for each participant, refunds outside the above timeframes cannot be provided.

Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be credited or transferred to another course. Where appropriate and subject to trainer availability, a 1:1 catch-up lesson may be arranged at a reduced fee to help you cover the content you missed. Availability of catch-up lessons is not guaranteed.

5. Owner Responsibilities

Owners must follow the training plan, disclose health/behavioral issues, ensure dogs are healthy, use Trainer-recommended gear, and ensure safe handling. Inconsistent follow-through delays progress. Unsafe situations may lead to service refusal.

6. Training Tools

The Trainer may use long lines, flat collars, and slip leads without excessive force and frustration. Abuse or harm is not condoned.

7. Adventure – Transport, Custody & Safety

By booking an Adventure Session, you authorise the Trainer to transport your dog in a personal vehicle. Off-lead activity is only permitted where your dog has demonstrated reliable recall; otherwise, dogs will remain on long lines. Sessions may be postponed or rescheduled due to adverse weather, or other safety concerns.

Adventure Sessions are conducted on a one-dog basis. A second dog from the same household may be accepted at the Trainer's discretion, provided it is suitable for the session. Additional fees apply.

Owners must disclose any relevant health conditions or behavioural concerns before their dog's session. While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure your dog's safety, Adventure Sessions take place in natural outdoor environments where inherent risks—including snake bites, tick paralysis, insect bites, wildlife encounters, uneven terrain, and accidental injury—cannot be completely eliminated. By booking, owners acknowledge and accept these inherent risks as part of participation.

In the event of an emergency, appropriate first aid will be administered, owners will be contacted as soon as practicable, and veterinary treatment will be sought where necessary. All veterinary costs incurred during or as a result of an Adventure Session remain the responsibility of the owner.

8. Liability & Risk

The Trainer is not liable for incidents due to pre-existing issues, hazards, or owner negligence. Owners are responsible for damages caused by their dog. Results aren't guaranteed. Advice is general and must be applied responsibly.

9. Veterinary Care

The Trainer is not a vet but may seek vet care in emergencies at the owner's expense.

10. Media & Photography Consent

Sessions may be recorded or photographed for updates or social media. The Client will only be tagged if they opt-in. The Client will be automatically subscribed to the newsletter, and may unsubscribe at any time. The Client may withdraw consent for any of the above at any time by providing written notice to the Provider. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of any use or communication that occurred before the notice was received.

11. Intellectual Property

All materials remain the intellectual property of Dog Days Training and Adventure and cannot be shared without permission.

12. Website Use

Website content is general and not a substitute for training advice. The Trainer is not responsible for misuse or third-party content.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
